Thanksgiving in NH

Jake and I had a long drive to NH... but some good fish chowder made it all worth it.

Skiing Pictures.

The snow is still falling--

This is November skiing in New England.

Snow on the tables- this is for real.

It's getting colder.

I skied the last 4 days-- we were able to groom a little and the skiing was really nice over the weekend. There were lots of folks out skiing and it was fun to see ski friends.

SNOW!!!

I left work tonight in the dark and there was a nice layer of snow on my car-- winter is on the way. Yahoo.

The Eye on the Sky says:
Tonight: "Accumulation: A trace to 2 inches for the broader valleys, 1-3" for the Dacks, and 3-6” for the Northern and Central greens, east to the Whites. Locally higher amounts above 2000 feet. Lows from the upper 20s to the mid 30s. Winds northwest at 10-15 with gusts to 20.

Tomorrow: North of route 2: snow tapering to snow showers. Total accumulation: 1-4” for the broader valleys, 4-9" for the Eastern Townships, Northern Greens, and the Northern Whites, with locally to a foot above 2000 feet."

I'm bringing my skis to work-- because it sounds like rock-skiing tomorrow.

November 9 Update

The entrance to World Cup Trail and Bryant Trail-- there is just a dusting.
Hi Friends: It's been snowing at Bolton all week...the ground is covered with an inch or so in the base area, but there is not quite enough to nordic ski. I took a walk this morning and below are the photos from my walk.

Friday Bolton Adventure- is taking a week off. We had a great 6 week session and the Adventures will return soon, so check back for updates. Everyone is welcome to do a run/hike on their own-- and if you are looking for company just leave a comment.

Tonight is Telluride Mountain Film- Presented by the UVM Outing Club and Climb High. This is a great show-- and worth every penny. It is showing at 7pm in the Davis Center [UVM's new student center]. Tickets are $10 at Climb High in BVT and at the door.

Broadway is not covered.

The pond has some ice.

Friday Bolton Adventure #6

It's finally getting cold on the mountain... the ground feels a little frozen and it was in the 20s here last night. This is the last run before the time change-- I still have not decided what to do about next week... but we will figure out something.

Here is the Plan folks:
Meet at the Nordic Center
Run at 5pm... we will leave promptly because it's dark early.

Don't forget about the ski movie tonight-- UVM CC Theater 8Pm- tickets at gearx.com + at the door.
